Alex Jones has opened up about her family struggles during her second pregnancy.
The ‘One Show’ presenter admits her mum gave her "amazing" support after she gave birth to son Teddy, who is now two, but her and husband Charlie Thomson’s parents live miles away ahead of the birth of their second child together.
Speaking to Libby Clegg on podcast ‘Guide Dogs: By My Side’, the 42-year-old TV host said: "Mum was amazing at the beginning with Teddy.
"She was there for the first three weeks and thank goodness for her because I don’t know how we would’ve done it, actually."
The brunette then asked host Libby if she and her partner Dan Powell had similar family support, to which Libby replied: "We don’t have any family support at the mo because we live so far away from them."
Alex added: "We have the same problem. One set is in New Zealand, Auckland, and one set is in Wales, it’s not on the doorstep type of stuff."
The Welsh star is now on maternity leave from ‘The One Show’ and has been regularly updating her Instagram with pregnancy pictures.
Captioning a series of images recording her days as a soon-to-be mother, Alex wrote: "Really settling into this maternity lark this morning.
"Four hours of chatting and coffee and lunch in beautiful surroundings with lovely friends felt so indulgent.
"Yes, it’s the calm before the storm but let’s enjoy some lovely pictures of interiors/plans in the meantime."
