Jake Wood’s daughter Amber is "so proud" of him for running the London Marathon.
The 46-year-old actor – who is best known for portraying Max Branning in BBC One soap ‘EastEnders’ – took part in the event for his former co-star Dame Barbara Windsor, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2014, as part of a group called Barbara’s Revolutionaries.
The soap star’s daughter praised her dad – who also has 11-year-old son Buster Wood with wife Alison Murray – for completing the race for an "an amazing cause" with "hardly any training".
Alongside of a picture of their family after the race, Amber, 14, wrote: "So proud of this man for running the London 2019 marathon yesterday with hardly any training haha with a time of 5 hours 59 mins and 15 secs.
"he did it for an amazing cause – dementia revolution and to help his dear friend Barbra Windsor and Scott. My mum had also planned to walk the marathon but she sadly couldn’t due to a foot injury but she is going to be walking the moon walk half marathon for breast cancer.
