Rylan Clark-Neal is the new co-presenter of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ spin-off ‘It Takes Two’.
The former ‘Big Brother’s Bit On The Side’ host feels "extremely honoured" to be joining regular host Zoe Ball on the show when it returns later this year and is looking forward to bringing a lot of "mischief" to the Latin and ballroom competition.
He said: "I can’t begin to explain how excited I am to be joining the Strictly family. I’ve always been a massive fan of ‘It Takes Two’ and to be working with the amazing Zoe Ball is a dream.
"I’m extremely honoured to be joining such a television institution and can’t wait to bring a lot of mischief to the Strictly bubble. I’m looking forward to getting started and seeing you all soon."
The 48-year-old DJ – who broke the news on her BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show on Thursday (18.04.19) morning – thinks Rylan is the perfect presenter to bring on board.
She gushed: "I adore Rylan, he’s an absolute wonder, I love his daftness and naughtiness and he’s a brilliant live telly host. He’ll fit right into our ‘It Takes Two’ family. Can’t wait for this new season to start, it’s going be a hoot!"
And BBC bosses are equally thrilled to have the former ‘X Factor’ contestant join the ‘Strictly’ team.
Dan McGolpin, Controller of BBC Programming and Daytime, said: "We are really excited to welcome Rylan to the ‘Strictly’ family. He’s a fantastic broadcaster and I can’t think of a better person to help bring our viewers all the latest Strictly news."
‘It Takes Two’ will return to TV on weeknights in the autumn.
Rylan’s appointment came after the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ winner recently vowed not to compete on another reality show.
He said: ""As a contestant, no. It’s how I started and I’ve been so lucky to have the career that I’ve had in reality TV and I will never forget where I came from, and that’s why I’m a massive supporter of reality TV.
"But I enjoy hosting too much, or it would take a lot of money."
