BBC set to try new ‘Bake Off replacement’ show

The BBC is making new baking show.
The corporation have been searching for a replacement for ‘The Great British Bake Off’ since it left the network in 2016, moving to Channel 4, and the new series, ‘Flour Power’, will see a panel of professional bakers visiting workplaces across the UK to judge employees’ baking skills.
A TV insider told The Sun’s Bizarre TV column: "Ever since ‘The Great British Bake Off’ appeared on our screens, offices across the nation have been rife with bake-offs among their staff in fierce competition.
"The Beeb is keen to tap into this phenomenon in a bid to capture some of the magic of ‘Bake Off’.
"It is convinced this tweaked format might do the trick."
The BBC has previously launched Nadiya Hussain and Zoe Ball’s ‘The Big Family Cooking Showdown’ in 2017 and Mary Berry and Claudia Winkleman’s ‘Britain’s Best Home Cook’ in 2018.
In the upcoming ‘Flour Power’, four members of staff go up against each other in each episode, and the winner will be crowned "King or Queen Baker Of The Office".
‘Flour Power’ is expected to air later this year, with hosts still to be confirmed.
Russell Brand recently stunned ‘The Great British Bake Off’ judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood by creating a biscuit shaped like a vagina.
The 43-year-old star competed with John Lithgow, Hannah Cockroft and Jon Richardson, among others, on this year’s ‘The Great Celebrity Stand Up to Cancer Bake Off’ – which aired in early March – and knew instantly he wanted to create a biscuit in the shape of female genitalia when groups were instructed to bake "their finest performance".
Russell previously reasoned: "The female plays an integral role in the process of childbirth.
"That’s why it was a good performance because of my acceptance in a secondary role."
