Rylan Clark-Neal ‘didn’t sleep for three days’ during Celebrity Apprentice

Rylan Clark-Neal "didn’t sleep for three days" following his stint on ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ for Red Nose Day.
The 30-year-old presenter took part in the star-studded special for Comic Relief – which aired last week and saw teams of famous men and women pitted against one another to organise a cabaret evening – and he admitted that although he was "happy" to raise money for the charity, he suffered sleepless nights due to the "strict rules" on the much-anticipated show.
He said: "Celebrity Apprentice was amazing and to be part of Red Nose Day and Comic Relief and raising money and going on a show I love to watch was selfishly really fun for me but at the same time, it was so difficult because obviously you have to follow such a strict set of rules, everything needs to be on camera.
"If it was in real-life, I think it would have been a lot easier and I could have just done it with my eyes shut but I think because there’s so many strict rules you have to follow and legalities and stuff it was just really, really difficult. It was really tough.
"I didn’t sleep for three days. I genuinely didn’t sleep for three days because I was just so concerned about putting this event on and having to play by the rules, but after watching it, it was a great show and everyone spoke about it and said it was amazing."
Meanwhile, the former ‘Big Brother’s Bit on the Side’ host insisted that the show’s boss Lord Alan Sugar was pleased with his performance, and the amount the two group’s raised for Red Nose Day.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, he added: "Not only did the boys and the girls raise I think just under £400,000, but whilst the show was on air, I found out last week I found out from Emma Freud, who obviously runs Comic Relief with her husband Richard Curtis, that £130,000 was pledged whilst the show was on air. So we’re so happy.
"I think I made a good Apprentice, I think if I could do it all over again, I’d do it very differently but yeah, I think Alan was quite happy with my work."
Rylan has also recently partnered with Jet2holidays to launch a once in a lifetime competition to mark the arrival of the 100th aircraft into its fleet.
One lucky winner will get the chance to win the aircraft for a weekend, when they whisk 99 of their friends and family to Majorca for a weekend away – with Rylan himself.
