Claudia Winkleman is banned from finding out the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ contestants ahead of time.
The TV presenter – who hosts the BBC ballroom competition with co-star Tess Daly – admitted she has been too loose lipped in the past when it comes to the lineup, and it means she doesn’t find out until the media does.
Appearing on ITV’s ‘This Morning’, she told Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield: "They now tell me after they tell the press.
"One year, it was very secret: lock the door, phones off, eyes down, here’s who’s doing it. And I went, ‘Got ya, don’t tell anyone.’
"Got in the lift at the BBC, went down and somebody went, ‘Oh yeah, you do the ‘Strictly’ show. Do you know who’s doing it?’ Said the whole list of names."
Although Claudia might not know who is lined up for this year’s series yet, it’s been reported that Alan Carr has been approached to sign up to complete.
The former ‘Chatty Man’ star – who appeared on the programme last year to read out the terms and conditions – has been a real "hit" with bosses.
A source previously said: "Alan has met with the bosses and they all hit it off straight away.
"He’s a perfect celebrity for ‘Strictly’ because he’s popular, funny and throws himself into everything – but has never had a day’s dance training in his life. What’s certain is he won’t hold back."
Meanwhile, Tess has revealed that a number of celebrities have "already" been confirmed for next year.
She said: "People have been approached. I’ve heard there’s a few who have already confirmed."
