James Moore has offered his drumming services to bands.
The ‘Emmerdale’ actor has made no secret of his love of the drums in a number of Instagram and Twitter posts, and now the soap star is keen to put his percussion skills to good use by joining forces with a group.
He wrote on Twitter: "This year I’d like to get more involved in writing music as well as everything else, and would love to offer my drumming for artists to use in their tracks if they wish, I’d love to be in a band but really I’d just be happy to collaborate with people and make great music! (sic)"
James was inundated with compliments following his tweet, and rockers Erica, who are based in Winchcombe, near Cheltenham, which is where the Dales star is from, offered him the chance to jam with them.
They wrote: "come and have a jam with the #ERICA boys sometime James in #Winchcombe please … you are always welcome … drop us a DM please and lets have a chat (sic)"
He replied: "That would be wicked! (sic)"
What’s more, one fan suggested James is the perfect candidate for his own TV show.
He wrote: "I’d love my own show"
Last month, James – who has ataxic cerebral palsy – made a big impression at the National TV Awards when he scooped the Newcomer accolade, but later admitted his award would be taking pride of place at his mum’s house in Cheltenham, because his flat is too messy.
He told BANG Showbiz and other media: "If they let me take the award home I might keep it at my mum’s, because I feel like my mum’s house is a lot tidier than my flat.
"I want this to be well looked after, so it will go on my mum’s mantelpiece."
