Jason Gardiner has taken another swipe at Gemma Collins insisting she "really is not that good" on ‘Dancing On Ice’ and her behaviour is overshadowing the better skaters on the show.
The 53-year-old judge has been feuding with Gemma, 37, ever since they had a furious bust-up on air a couple of weeks ago when the ‘TOWIE’ star accused the dance expert of "selling stories" on her.
Their war of words has rumbled on ever since and Jason is sick of The GC dominating the ITV programme because her skating is not up to scratch and he would rather the focus was on the stars who are committed to doing well on the rink.
Appearing on the ‘Jeremy Vine’ current affairs chat show on Channel 5, he said: "It’s annoying. We’ve got an amazing line up this year and have people who are so good on the show, and it seems to be all we ever talk about is one particular contestant who really isn’t that good on the show as a competitor in terms of what she is physically able to do on the ice."
When asked by Jeremy if she was overshadowing other contestants, he replied: " Yes, I think unfairly so. We’ve got Melody [Thornton], Wes [Nelson], quite a few who are starting to breakaway and commit, and they’re brilliant…"
Jason also admitted that it was a "surreal" moment when Gemma made her outburst live on air and made her completely unfounded accusations after he gave an honest interview questioning her commitment to the programme, branding her "lazy".
Speaking about their on air bust-up, he said: "It was surreal. I have a bad day at the office and it’s in front of millions of people. It was an outrageous allegation. It was ridiculous it was even brought up on a family show like that."
Jason also confirmed that he and Gemma – who fell on the ice during her routine with her partner Matt Evers on last week’s show – have been kept apart behind the scenes on the show since their row.
