Daniel Brocklebank splits from boyfriend

Daniel Brocklebank has split from his boyfriend.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actor – who plays vicar Billy Mayhew in the ITV soap – and former Mr Gay UK Stuart Hatton, ended their relationship just before Christmas after two years of dating.
A source told The Sun Online: "Dan is really busy with ‘Corrie’ and Stuart has his business interests in the north east. They just don’t have the time and they sat down and had the talk to end things.
"There’s no-one else involved, things just didn’t work out and they decided to move on.
"They still care about each other and wish each other the best."
The pair met at Stockholm Pride in 2017 but a spokesperson has confirmed their split.
The rep said: "Daniel and Stuart last month made the mutual decision to go their separate ways. They will not be making any further comment."
Meanwhile, Daniel, 38, previously revealed he experiences homophobia "every week" and is often inundated with derogatory comments about his sexuality.
Daniel often hits back at negative comments about LGBT+ characters in the soaps via social media, and while he says the world has "come so far", he insists there is "still a long way to go".
He previously said: "Sadly, I still experience homophobia every week, often via social media. The other week, a woman was horrified they’d brought a bisexual character into the show and tweeted saying it was bad enough ‘Corrie’ kept bringing in gay characters, but to ‘add insult to injury we’ve got a bi’.
"I replied, ‘Get used to your injury being insulted,’ because we’re not going anywhere.
"We’ve come so far and that’s wonderful, but there’s still a long way to go. As long as you’re a nice, decent person, what does it matter?"
