Harry Redknapp has agreed a £500,000 deal to be the new face of McDonalds.
The 71-year-old former footballer has reportedly signed his first endorsement contract since winning ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ in November, with the fast food giant signing him up to front some sports-themed commercials that will air in spring and promote their healthier food options.
A source told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: "Since Harry left the jungle everybody’s been vying for his signature. McDonald’s won out and they have a star striker in Harry.
"The ads touch upon a healthier approach to life and Harry’s time on ‘I’m A Celeb’, so it’s unlikely his beloved roly-poly will make an appearance. They’re sure to be a big hit."
News of the deal comes after it was revealed Harry – who netted £500,000 for his ‘I’m A Celebrity…’ win – will earn thousands of pounds when he embarks on a tour later this year.
The football legend will visit 32 UK towns later this year, telling stories of his life, and some of the best seats at the shows will cost a staggering £83.
His tour starts in Southend in May and ends in High Wycombe in November.
Harry can next be seen working with 13 England legends to get them back into shape for TV show ‘Match Fit’ and there have also been calls for the King of the Jungle to land his own reality show alongside wife Sandra, also 71, and their famous son Jamie Redknapp.
A spokesperson for the star refused to confirm he’s signed a deal with McDonalds.
They simply said: "We can’t comment on confidential agreements between Harry and any companies."
