Chris Noth reveals he based Doctor Who villain on Donald Trump

Chris Noth based his ‘Doctor Who’ villain on Donald Trump.
The ‘Sex and the City’ actor has revealed that he drew inspiration from the current US president when portraying the evil Jack Robertson on the hit BBC show.
The TV veteran told The Mirror: "I played a character based loosely on him. It was actually the idea of Trump without being Trump.
"I’m worried about our country under his reign. Hopefully the Democratic Congress will regain our sanity."
The ‘Law & Order’ actor recently played a scheming hotel magnate with political motivations in the fourth episode of of the eleventh series of the show called ‘Arachnids in the UK’.
Chris, 64, has revealed that he would love to guest star on the show again as he loved working with the cast, who he respects for their strong work ethic.
He added: "I may come back and do another episode. It was just marvellous. I loved all the actors and Jodie [Whittaker] was fantastic. I couldn’t have admired them more. They’re hard workers, it’s a fun show."
The HBO star – who is currently launching tequila brand Ambhar in West London – also quipped that he has taken interest in the spirits market to help him ease the current political situation in America and England.
He added: "You’ve got Brexit, we’ve got Trump. It takes a lot of tequila to get over that."
Chris has taken on the role of creative director for Ambhar and is busy growing the brand in the US and UK, where it will go on sale next spring.
