Coleen Nolan says online trolls made her cry for 10 days.
The 53-year-old TV presenter returned to the ‘Loose Women’ panel yesterday (03.12.18) after three months away from the limelight following an on-screen bust-up with former ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ rival Kim Woodburn, and she has revealed social media bullies left her in bits.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I must have cried for 10 days after deciding to take a break, and I am someone who doesn’t cry easily. But I think I’ve come out stronger.
"It’s just horrendous. They almost think they have a right because you are in the public eye.
"At the time I thought, ‘I don’t know how to deal with this’ and that brought to the surface everything I was trying to deal with.
"I was trying to get my divorce sorted and sell my house. I was grieving for Bernie and Linda’s secondary cancer diagnosis."
In August, Coleen and Kim clashed on ‘Loose Women’ when fans thought they were going to reconcile after they fell out following their 2017 ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ appearance.
But Kim called Coleen "lying trash" and a "piece of filth" on the show before storming off the set.
ITV received more than 3,000 complaints, with several viewers slamming Coleen for "bullying" the 76-year-old TV presenter.
Coleen broke down in tears the following week during a TV appearance on ‘This Morning’ and announced she would be taking a break from the ITV panel show after being trolled.
When she returned to the show yesterday she was greeted by the audience cheering her name, and she thanked the "gorgeous members of their public" for their support.
