Ariana Grande announces first leg of Sweetener tour

Ariana Grande has announced the dates for the North American leg of her ‘Sweetener World Tour’.
The 25-year-old singer will embark on a four-month tour of the United States and Canada in Spring next year as part of a planned world tour of her latest album ‘Sweetener’, the star revealed on social media on Thursday (25.10.18).
Posting a picture of the tour poster – which features an imag e of the ‘No Tears Left to Cry’ singer with the words ‘Sweetener World Tour’ written upside down below a list of the planned shows – Ariana wrote on Twitter: "ɹnoʇ plɹoʍ ɹǝuǝʇǝǝʍS
"@americanexpress presale 11/1-11/3 (sic)"
The star then also posted a video which cycled through each of the 42 tour dates, and was accompanied by the same caption, before then simply posting a link to her website.
Ariana’s tour will kick off on March 18, 2019, with a show at the Times Union Center in Albany, New York, before she heads off across the country to major cities including Washington, DC, Philadelphia, Montreal, Toronto, Detroit, Chicago, St. Louis, Denver, Vancouver, Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas, Nashville, Miami and Atlanta.
The first leg of the tour wraps up with two dates back in New York, comprised of a stop at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on June 14 and a final show at Madison Square Garden on June 18.
American Express card members have access to a presale from Thursday November 1 through to Saturday November 3, and it hasn’t yet been announced when tickets will go on general sale.
Ariana is expected to announce additional dates soon.
News of a tour comes after the ‘God is a Woman’ singer recently claimed her "heart needs" to get on stage in order to heal, following a tough year which has seen her split with her former fiancé Pete Davidson, and suffer the loss of her former partner Mac Miller, who died in September.
When one fan asked on Twitter: "any news about sweetener tour? if not pls don’t stress about it ! we can wait / we want you to be actually ready to go on tour (sic)"
Ariana responded: "i’m ready [heart emoji] my heart needs it actually. finalizing a few more things but i’m tryna get em dates to u asap (sic)"
