Don Johnson has been cast alongside Daniel Craig in ‘Knives Out’.
The 68-year-old actor has been added to the supporting cast for the Rian Johnson-directed movie, which will see Daniel star in the lead role, according to Deadline.
The upcoming film has been billed as a modern-day murder mystery, though plot details remain under wraps for the time being.
Chris Evans, Michael Shannon, and Lakeith Stanfield have all already been cast in ‘Knives Out’.
And the Cuban actress Ana De Armas – who previously appeared in ‘Blade Runner 2049’ – is another of the big-name stars poised to appear in the movie, which is set to begin shooting in the coming days.
Meanwhile, Rian previously revealed that he and his long-time producing partner Ram Bergman were looking forward to working with Daniel.
The American director – who helmed ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ in 2017 – said: "I have been a huge fan and always wanted to work with him and as I worked on the script, trying to get it right, Ram and I were wringing our hands over who could be the detective.
"Then, serendipitously, we heard Daniel might have a small window, and it worked out. He’s an actor of extraordinary range, and we are looking forward to the fun of finding that modern detective, and collaborating with Daniel on creating a new ‘Poirot’."
