Stephanie Davis has teased her ‘Hollyoaks’ alter-ego is set to clash with Sienna Blake.
The 25-year-old actress is making a return to the soap as Sinead O’Connor alongside Kyle Pryor, who will play her husband, Hollyoaks High’s new Deputy Headmaster Laurie Shelby, and she’s warned that the reformed schemer – who is hoping to become a teacher – needs to watch out for trouble.
Asked who should be most worried about Sinead returning to the village, she teased: "That’s a good one. I don’t know actually, I think with the new storyline with my husband, a lot of that takes the focus so I would say … I don’t know if I’m allowed to say … Probably Sienna."
Sinead’s return sees her rescued from the storm by Sami Maalik (Rishi Nair) and it doesn’t take long for the pair to get intimate in the lawyer’s car – and Stephanie has warned fans to expect some fall out from their encounter in the months to come.
She said: "There’s actually a little twist – she’s married. so my husband, Kyle Pryor, Laurie comes in, not long after with my daughter Hannah, he’s got her, and then obviously she’s been getting it on with Sami – and Rishi has been great to work with as well – and then it all kicks off."
And Stephanie insisted she’s not disappointed that her alter-ego hasn’t changed her ways in her three years off screen.
She said: "I love my character, there’s a lot to her. She’s trying her hardest to be this new wife, everything’s together but she’s still got that fire inside her and you’ll see more when Kyle who plays Laurie comes into it, he’s great, there’s a real dynamic with them and you’ll see why she’s like that play out in the next couple of episodes."
