Chrissy Teigen thinks eating her placenta stopped her from suffering post-partum depression.
The ‘Lip Sync Battle’ star has been open about her struggle with the condition after the birth of her daughter Luna two years ago and she believes she has avoided the mental health disorder since having son Miles in May this year because she consumed the after birth.
But when interviewer Rita Braver expressed her doubts about eating placenta in an upcoming 40th anniversary ‘CBS Sunday Morning’ special, Chrissy laughed and said: "Really? That’s not a normal thing? I’m in L.A., it’s very normal. They grill it here. You can try some of mine after."
The 32-year-old beauty – who is married to John Legend – has spoken openly about her fertility struggles and going through IVF and admitted she did so because she views her fans as her friends.
She admitted: "I think people on social media are my friends and I think they deserved to know.
"I don’t know, is that so weird?"
The Sports Illustrated model also confessed she cares more about eating food that she enjoys than what she looks like in a swimsuit these days.
She said: "I really prefer being happy and getting to eat things that I love, still wanting to be healthy. But I just don’t care about looking good in a swimsuit anymore. I guess that’s the only way to put it."
Chrissy previously confessed she was "worried" about getting postpartum depression for a second time when she was expecting her son.
She said: "Do I worry about it with this little boy? I do. But I also know that when it does happen – if it does – I’m so ready for it. I have the perfect people around me for it. That’s why I stand for a real core group of people around me."
