Sam Bird saving ‘for years’ to afford Georgia Steel engagement ring

Sam Bird will have to save "for years" to afford the engagement ring Georgia Steel wants.
The ‘Love Island’ couple confirmed they have been speaking about the possibility of getting hitched one day, after he admitted she has her eye on a big-budget band which will set him back a hefty sum.
When asked if engagement is on the cards for the pair, Georgia exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "Ooh, I don’t know…"
Speaking at the TV Choice Awards at London’s Dorchester Hotel, Sam added: "The ring she wants, I’ll be saving for years!"
Georgia, 20, admitted she and Sam, 25, have suffered some "hard times" in their relationship, but they are determined to keep making their romance work because they have a great "connection".
She added: "I’ll be honest, I don’t think there is a key. You either have it or you don’t. If you got that connection, you have that connection, you work through the hard times. We definitely have had hard times.
"But if you don’t have that connection, you don’t have that connection.
"At the end of the day, I’m not going to lie, it is hard but because I care about him so much I’ll make time for him.
"He’s my priority so if something comes up and we’ve done something and we’ve organised something together then that thing can wait and I’ll see him, and that’s what makes it work."
Sam admits moving in together has "helped" their relationship, and the pair are enjoying being "a normal couple".
He said: "You either love each other or you don’t. But sometimes we work together, do appearances together, then we’re separate. But we’ve moved in together as well.
"I’m not saying that’s the thing to do for everyone, but it just felt right for us at the time. It didn’t feel weird, it just felt like we should do it and I think that’s helped.
"You go back to work, come back home, say, ‘How was your day?’, eat a bit of dinner and just be a normal couple. That’s what it’s all about."
