Line of Duty star Daniel Mays gets married

Daniel Mays has married his long-time partner Louisa Burton.
The ‘Line of Duty’ actor took to Twitter on Monday (27.08.18) to reveal he and the make-up artist "made memories to last a lifetime" as they tied the knot in front of friends and family over the weekend.
Alongside a picture of the couple and their two children, daughter Dixie and son Mylo, being showered with confetti, he wrote: "Got hitched on Saturday! With deep love and thanks to everyone who came to celebrate our magical day. Memories to last a lifetime X (sic)"
Meanwhile, the 40-year-old actor recently announced he’s joined the cast of ‘Porters’.
Daniel has signed up to star in the second series of the Dave sitcom, which follows Simon (Edward Easton), who believes his job as a hospital porter is a stepping stone to achieving his true calling of being a doctor, and he couldn’t be happier about his new job.
He said: "I’m thrilled to be working on these hilarious scripts and joining the hugely talented cast of ‘Porters’ series two.
"Not to mention re-teaming with the brilliant director Vadim Jean, who gave me my very first break, way back when."
The actor also recently starred on the big screen in ‘Swimming With Men’ and admitted the project was a welcome change of pace after working on three "heavy" dramas.
He said: "I just loved Aschlin Ditta’s script. I’d just come out of doing three heavy dramas and I fancied a change of direction. I’d worked with director Oliver Parker on Dad’s Army and wanted to work with him again.
"The film is obviously in the same ball-park as ‘The Full Monty’ and ticks all those ‘feel-good British film’ boxes. In this genre, if you get it right and you like the characters and enjoy being with them, a film like this gets you in the right place and you can’t help but go on the journey with them."
