Joe Sugg has been confirmed for ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 26-year-old YouTuber – who is the brother of fellow YouTube star Zoella – is "very nervous" about appearing in the BBC Latin and ballroom show later this year, admitting the series will be a "huge challenge".
He said: "I’m honestly so chuffed to be involved in the show this year! Not going to lie, I’m very nervous about it, it’s totally out of my comfort zone and I know it will be a huge challenge but that’s what life is all about I guess."
However, Joe’s embarrassment will disappear every time he thinks of his ‘Strictly’ super-fan grandparents being delighted about him joining the show.
He added: "Funnily enough I’m writing this statement whilst on the way to surprise my grandparents with the news.
"They are going to be so happy which will definitely make up for any embarrassment or cringe caused by my questionable rhythm."
Joe has made a name for himself on the video-sharing website after amassing 25 million followers.
He has three YouTube channels, on which he posts challenges, pranks and impressions.
Joe has also penned graphic novel series ‘Username: Evie’, and wrote travelogue specials ‘Joe and Caspar: Hit the Road’ and ‘Hit the Road USA’ with his best friend Caspar Lee.
The latest announcement was revealed this morning (14.08.18) on Radio 1’s ‘Breakfast Show’, which was presented by Scott Mills.
Joe is the fourth celeb to be confirmed for ‘Strictly’ after the BBC revealed Katie Piper, Faye Tozer and Danny John-Jules will all don their dancing shoes later this year.
