Lady Gaga announces two separate Las Vegas residency shows

Lady Gaga has announced her Las Vegas residency will be comprised of two separate shows.
The 32-year-old pop star is giving her Little Monsters the choice to see either ‘Lady Gaga Enigma’, which will feature all of her hits and is "unlike anything" she’s done before, or the ‘Lady Gaga Jazz & Piano’ show, a stripped-down set featuring renditions of her own songs and some from ‘The Great American Songbook’ of influential American popular songs and jazz standards from the early 20th century.
The ‘Born this Way’ hitmaker – who toured her joint LP ‘Cheek to Cheek’ with jazz icon Tony Bennett in 2014 – will complete 27 shows in total across the two formats at the Park Theater at the new Park MGM Resort, kicking off on December 28.
Gaga – who was forced to cancel her ‘Joanne World Tour’ due to health issues in February 2017 – says ‘Enigma’ is about overcoming "challenges" with "creativity" and champions the "unique".
She told PEOPLE: "I can’t wait to share ‘Enigma’ with all of my fans and with Las Vegas. We’re creating a show unlike anything I’ve done before.
"It will be a celebration of all that is unique and different within us. The challenges of bravery can be overcome with creativity and courage that is grown out of adversity, love, and music."
Bill Hornbuckle, president of MGM Resorts International, has teased that the two shows are "nothing short of spectacular".
He added: "Working with Lady Gaga and her team has been a career highlight for me.
"What she is planning for Las Vegas audiences is nothing short of spectacular. Welcoming her into our family will firmly position Park MGM as the city’s most exciting new destination."
In June, it was reported that Gaga is set to release one of three albums on the opening night of her Las Vegas residency.
An insider said: "The first proper Gaga album will be unveiled around the time of her Vegas shows in December."
The ‘Poker Face’ singer has been working on new music since April, after being forced to cancel her ‘Joanne World Tour’ due to her suffering with "severe pain" caused by the long-term condition fibromyalgia.
Tickets for the Las Vegas concerts will be available to the general public from August 13 and fans can go to Gagavegas.com for more information.
