Timmy Mallett’s bike stolen after charity cycle

Timmy Mallett’s bike has been stolen after a charity ride.
The 62-year-old TV personality had his bike stolen outside a Berkshire village pub after completing a 3,500 km charity ride across Europe, in memory of his late brother, Martin, who had Down’s syndrome, and his tweet explaining the incident has gone viral.
The star tweeted: "I’ve cycled half way across Europe on my Giant E bike carrying dear brother Martin’s memory. Securely locked in my local pub car park last night it was taken. CCTV shows them – heartbroken."
Despite the bike being padlocked at the King’s Arms in Cookham’s car park, the cruel thieves were caught via CCTV footage taking the bike and now police are appealing for witnesses.
Thames Valley police tweeted: "Hi Timmy. We are on the case. Please visit our website if you have any more information.
"If any members of the public have any information, then please contact us."
The former ‘I’m A Celeb’ contestant completed the ‘Camino de Santiago’ cycling trip – a thousand year old pilgrimage route across Europe – on the bike and was even supported by Prime Minister Theresa May.
Speaking to the Sun, a source said: "Timmy is heartbroken. This bike means the world to him. It helped him to complete the biggest thing he’s ever done. Halfway around Europe unscathed and it’s taken so close to home. He would dearly like it back.
"His TV shows have been a part of so many childhoods and hopes somehow he can be reunited with his bike."
