Harry Reid pulls out of Witness for the Prosecution performance

Harry Reid had to pull out of his ‘Witness for the Prosecution’ play early last night (31.07.18) after his knee popped out of place.
The former ‘EastEnders’ actor took to Twitter to apologise to audience members of the theatre production – in which he stars as Leonard Vole – for cutting his part short last night after an old injury struck him down.
He tweeted: "Unfortunately i have had to end my performance for @witnessplayLDN early tonight due to my knee coming out of place. Its an old injury i am working on. Gutted about this evening and my apologies go to all audience members. (sic)"
But the 26-year-old star wished his understudy Tyler South well after he replaced him as Vole.
He wrote: "Good luck tonight to my understudy Tyler South! H x (sic)"
Harry looks set to return to the show tonight (01.08.18).
A source confirmed to BANG Showbiz: "Harry is due back on stage this evening."
The actor recently admitted he was grateful for the move from Albert Square to treading the boards in the Agatha Christie production, because the change had "freshened" him up after four years on the BBC One soap.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "It’s been a great change for me, really great. Freshened me up, taught me new skills. I’ll take these skills I’ve learnt here into TV, I won’t just disregard them.
"I took skills from ‘EastEnders’ into this."
Harry also admitted he was conscious about ensuring his ‘Witness’ character looking completely different from his ‘EastEnders’ alter-ego Ben Mitchell, and has found it "a lot easier" to make Vole’s story "humane" in contrast to the Walford resident’s "difficult" life.
He added: "It’s an interesting comparison between the two. It’s hard to follow one straight journey with Ben.
"He is very schizophrenic, in terms of his emotions. He’d suddenly just switch like that, and that’s because of the broken boy he is.
"Leonard has a journey, and it’s a lot easier to follow and make it humane. Ben was difficult because he would just jump."
‘Witness for the Prosecution’ runs at London’s County Hall, www.witnesscountyhall.com
