Ariana Grande has seemingly gotten a tattoo tribute to her fiancé Pete Davidson’s late father.
The 25-year-old pop star’s eagle-eyed fans spotted that she has the digits "8418" inked on the top of her foot, the badge number worn by the ‘Saturday Night Live’ star’s dad, New York City firefighter Scott Davidson, who tragically lost his life during the 9/11 Twin Tower attacks.
Ariana’s new ink matches Pete’s on his left forearm.
The pair recently announced their engagement after only a few weeks of dating, but according to Pete’s tattoo artist, the high-profile couple are head-over-heels in love with each other.
Jon Mesa, the co-owner of the No Idols Tattoo shop in New York City, explained: "They are just riding that magical wave of bliss together. It’s obvious that Pete is super in love with Ariana."
Pete recently turned to Jon in a bid to have a tattoo of ex-girlfriend Cazzie David covered up.
At the time, Jon sounded a note of caution about the perils of love – but the young star didn’t pay much attention.
Jon recalled: "I did a huge cover-up [adding a forest of trees] … After we were done, I told Pete, ‘Hey, dude, let’s just stop with the girlfriend tats until after [Grande’s] your wife’.
"Because relationships come and go, and Pete is a really young man. [But] I think that went in one ear and out the other."
Pete recently admitted he feels like he’s won a contest following his engagement to the ‘The Light is Coming’ hitmaker – who has previously dated the likes of Big Sean and Nathan Sykes.
During an appearance on the ‘Tonight Show’, host Jimmy Fallon joked: "Now, you know, that you didn’t have to get engaged to Ariana Grande to come on our show."
But Pete replied: "I did though. I feel like I won a contest. I’m f**king lit, Jimmy. It’s so lit."
