Emily Atack wants EastEnders role

Emily Atack wants to star in ‘EastEnders’.
The former ‘Inbetweeners’ actress has been busy working in movies but is keen to return to TV, where she first made her name, and thinks it would be great to rock up in Walford as a member of one of Albert Square’s most iconic families.
She said: "I’d never rule out [joining a soap]. I’ve done a lot of film, so I’d like to get back into television.
"If I was to do one, I’d love to do ‘EastEnders’. I could play a new naughty Mitchell sister."
The 28-year-old actress’ former ‘Inbetweeners’ co-star Emily Head can currently be seen in ‘Emmerdale’, and Emily couldn’t be happier that her friend is doing so well.
She said: "Emily is a lovely girl so I was really happy for her.
"She really deserves it. I haven’t stayed in touch with her but if we ever bump into each other we get on really well."
The blonde beauty admitted she has previously lost out on acting work because of her size, but she’d rather have fun than be pressured into losing weight.
She said: "In this industry there’s a massive pressure to be a certain weight.
"I’ve been told I’d get so much more work if I was smaller, but going out for dinner and drinks with my friend is more important to me than size.
"I’m just a regular size and I’d love to see more women like that cast in lead roles."
The ‘Dad’s Army’ star also revealed she’s been a victim of unwanted "inappropriate" advances while working.
She told OK! magazine: "A make-up artist overheard something someone had said to me and she immediately jumped to my defence.
"He just laughed it off and then I received messages that night which were inappropriate and crossing a line.
"He wasn’t in my age group, let’s put it that way, and the next few days on set were a bit uncomfortable.
"That was at least five years ago now and I truly believe it wouldn’t happen to me now. And if it did, I’d definitely speak up."
