Marcel Somerville will "always regret" cheating on his girlfriend Gabby Allen.
The Blazin’ Squad star was dumped by the fitness guru – who he met and fell for in the ‘Love Island’ villa last summer – earlier this year after she discovered that he’d slept with another woman while they were on holiday together back in January.
And, although he has admitted he’ll never be able to forgive himself for his infidelity and for hurting the love of his life, he’s trying to stay "positive" following the split.
Speaking on FUBAR radio, he said: "You do certain things and certain things happen, and you’re always going to regret them. I’m a big believer in positive energy. When there are negative vibes going around, all you’ve got to pull yourself out of it. Positive vibes. I am very much single at the moment, darling."
The cheating scandal didn’t just ruin his love life as it’s believed the 32-year-old singer – who was heavily praised for the relationship advice he dished out to his co-stars in the villa last year – was hired as a "love guru" on ‘Celebs Go Dating’, but he was dramatically dropped when bosses got wind of his behaviour.
A source said recently: "The team at ‘Celebs Go Dating’ thought Marcel would be a perfect fit for the show and would be the ideal person to give the celebs some advice. He was great on ‘Love Island’ and everyone loved his Dr. Marcel moments.
"Marcel was in talks with producers but when it came out that he had cheated on Gabby, he was quickly dropped."
The rapper has since apologised for his behaviour and recently admitted that he’s found the split really tough because he still really loves the 25-year-old beauty.
He told BANG Showbiz: "This is the first time I’ve been out and talking to the press since it’s all come out. I’ve had the same conversation talking about the split. Talking about it hurts. I’m OK, I’m good. I’m surviving."
