Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have been spotted together for the first time in months.
The popular presenting duo’s award-winning partnership has recently been derailed by Ant’s personal troubles, which culminated in a drink-driving conviction in April, but Ant and Dec were seen looking "super cheerful" as they enjoyed lunch together at a hotel in London.
Christin Maschmann, who was a guest at the hotel, posed for a photograph alongside the duo.
She captioned the snap: "Pleasure to randomly bump into Ant and Dec yesterday. Lovely guys! They super nice and in a good mood."
Following Ant’s drink-driving arrest – which followed a collision on the streets of south London – Dec took to presenting ‘Saturday Night Takeaway’ on his own.
However, the sight of Ant and Dec having lunch together suggests that the acclaimed TV partnership could be revived in the near future.
Ant, 42, spent a spell in rehab earlier this year to try to overcome his alcohol-related issues.
And an insider recently claimed that the veteran star is "doing well", even though he’s not yet ready to return to TV work.
The source explained: "Ant is doing really well and all of his friends think he is in a much better place.
"But this time doctors, not TV bosses, will decide."
Ant – who was fined £86,000 and banned from driving for 20 months as a result of his car crash – is said to be in a good frame of mind at the moment, with his improved mood being reflected in his appearance.
The insider added: "It was great to see him looking so well, and much more upbeat.
"In pictures taken after his accident Ant looked haunted. He hadn’t shaved and looked like he hadn’t slept much.
"But the Ant we saw this week could have been a different person. He looked healthier, brighter and had a big smile on his face."
