Jennifer Metcalfe clueless about Hollyoaks comeback

Jennifer Metcalfe "hasn’t got a clue" what her ‘Hollyoaks’ return storyline will involve.
The 34-year-old actress is preparing to reprise her role as Mercedes McQueen after taking time out to have her first child, son Daye, now 11 months, and while her alter-ego left the village to go to America to fight for custody of her son Bobby, Jennifer doesn’t know whether she’ll be back with her offspring in tow because she missed a meeting with show producers.
Asked about her return details, she said: "I’d love to [share them] but I haven’t got a clue.
"The last time I was in Liverpool, I was supposed to see our producer but I didn’t make it, so I’ve not got the foggiest."
And the brunette beauty hasn’t really kept up with events on the show during her absence.
She admitted: "I don’t know if there are new characters as I haven’t watched it for months.
"I watched Anna Passey’s scenes, which were amazing, but I haven’t watched telly at all."
Jennifer – who has Daye with partner Greg Lake – is excited about returning to work but is also "nervous" because motherhood has changed her so much.
She told Star magazine: "I’m really excited – and a bit nervous because my head doesn’t function in the way it used to.
"It’s all about Daye, feeds and nap times so to learn a script is going to be really challenging. I used to be good at it."
