Andy Cohen has joked he met his pet beagle "on Tinder".
The 49-year-old talk show host found his rescue dog Wacha through the app Petfinder.com – where users can scroll through pictures of pets to find their perfect match – and has joked that coming across the image of his pet pooch was like finding a romantic match on the popular dating app.
He said: "I feel like I fell in love on Tinder."
The ‘Watch What Happens Live’ host was drawn to Wacha’s "soulful eyes" in his pictures, and made the decision to adopt the pup after filming an episode of his show one night.
He added to People magazine: "The first picture I saw of him is just ingrained in my memory."
Although Andy was quick to find a perfect canine match on Petfinder, he’s been less lucky with romantic matches on dating apps, as he recently revealed he keeps having his Tinder profile deleted because the app moderators think he is impersonating himself.
Asked if he was on any dating apps, he said: "I am on Tinder and there is a gay dating app that I’m on that I keep getting kicked off of because they think I’m impersonating Andy Cohen. And they’re like, ‘Your photos don’t meet our guidelines.’ I’m like, ‘No, it is me!’"
But the ‘Love Connection’ host isn’t too disheartened about his quest for a soulmate not being hugely successful, as he’s having "fun" being single.
When asked if being single was a "good thing", Andy said: "You know what, every day that I’m alive is a great thing. And yeah … it’s fun, yeah."
Andy split from his previous partner Clifton Dassuncao quietly earlier this year, and spoke earlier this year about being single once again.
When asked in March about his relationship status, he simply said: "Yes, I am single again."
