Olivia Buckland to host new wedding show

Olivia Buckland is set to host a new wedding show.
The ‘Love Island’ star has agreed to front TLC’s forthcoming 22-part series ‘Second Chance Dresses’ as she and a bride-to-be travel around the country and visit the homes of three savvy sellers – each with their different reasons for wanting to part ways with their precious purchases – in a bid to find the gown of their dreams.
The 24-year-old beauty said: "I’m so excited to be hosting ‘Second Chance Dresses’ for TLC. Looking for and finding ‘The One’ has to be the best part of wedding planning, and there’s a whole world of dresses to be found if you look at preloved.
"But as I’m finding out, it’s emotional and sometimes stressful choosing the most special dress you will ever wear, and in this show there is the added pressure; how do you tell someone in their own home that their dream dress is not for you?
"I can’t wait to help my brides and hear the stories behind the seller’s dresses. I’m sure there will be lots of tears and drama – and that will just be from me."
Second-hand wedding dresses seem to be a popular choice among brides now as many are hoping to snap up a designer bargain that they could otherwise not afford.
Clare Laycock, Head of TLC, Quest Red & Investigation Discovery at Discovery Networks UK & Ireland, said: "The second-hand bridal market is fast growing amongst savvy shoppers looking for gorgeous dresses, shoes and accessories.
"’Second Chance Dresses’ taps into this trend to uncover heartfelt and uplifting stories, and help brides-to-be find their dream dress. The brand new series is the perfect addition to TLC’s ‘Friday Brideday’ wedding programming strand and we’re delighted to welcome back Olivia Buckland to with her own series."
And Olivia is certainly the perfect fit for the show as she’s set to tie the knot with her beau Alex Bowen – who she met on ‘Love Island’ in 2016 – later this year.
