Jamie O’Hara was eyed up for Dancing on Ice

Jamie O’Hara was being lined up for the current series of ‘Dancing on Ice’.
The 31-year-old professional footballer – who plays part time as a midfielder for Billericay Town – has admitted he was approached by bosses last year about taking part in the skating show but he was dropped because they went with other sportsmen.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, the hunk said: "I was in for the one that they’re filming but they went with a couple of other people which is fine but they’re the type of shows that I’d love to do because I love active ones, sport related, something that’s fun because I’m always up for a laugh. I would like to think that I’m a quick learner so I think being a sportsman, I would like to think after a couple of weeks that I’d pick it up."
And, although he didn’t make the cut for the current series, Jamie hasn’t ruled out the possibility of doing it next year – even though he’s quite "stiff" when it comes to dancing.
He explained: "’Dancing on Ice’ is still actually an option now.
"I’m a bit stiff dancing, I’m not the best dancer in the world but I always seem to grab women’s attention – not by my dancing skills but by my chat. But I can’t talk on Dancing on Ice so I might be screwed on there!"
And that’s not the only television option that has come his way recently as Jamie was asked if he’d join the forthcoming series of ‘The Only Way is Essex’ but he turned it down because he doesn’t want to be portrayed as a serial dater on screen.
He explained: "A couple of my friends are going on the new series of ‘The Only Way is Essex’ and they’ve asked me to go on there but I dunno because I’d end up getting into a relationship and it would get plastered everywhere. I’m good mates with Mark Wright and I said I would end up like Mark and just dating everyone."
Meanwhile, for now, Jamie has just launched a business with the nutrition brand Herbalife. https://jamieohara.goherbalife.com/Catalog/Home/Index/en-GB
