Ashley James "can’t promise" that she and Ginuwine have a future together.
The former ‘Made in Chelsea’ star struck up a close bond with the 47-year-old singer – who is 17 years older than her – while they were competing on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ but she has admitted she isn’t sure if anything will come of it now that they’re out in the real world because he lives in the US and she is based in the UK.
Speaking to The Sun Online, she said: "We just got on really well. We were living in an artificial environment, but there’s no doubt we had a connection.
"I didn’t even know if he would still be in the country [when she got out last night]. When I saw my dad hugging him – I felt really overwhelmed – I was speechless. My mum and dad got time off work and they were there sitting next to Ginuwine.
"[I’m glad I got out of the house tonight] because we can have a little more time together. It gives me validation that they [my parents] approve… I can’t promise that we have a future together. I’m excited to see how this develops, but we live on different continents so I can’t promise what will happen."
And the 30-year-old beauty – who has been previously romantically linked to comedian David Walliams – is glad they didn’t have sex on camera.
She explained: "I really don’t care about physical attraction. It was his character, his energy, the humour, the way he talks about his family. He and I behaved in a respectable way. They [my parents] know my morals. I didn’t think they would be worried about that. Before I went into the house I didn’t want any form of romance. There’s always been a focus on me and [my] relationships."
And, although Ginuwine has five children who are all a similar age to Ashley, the reality TV star doesn’t care about the age gap because he looks good for his age.
She said: "He looked after me. He had my back. I love children, but most of his are my age. I don’t really care [about the age gap]… I hadn’t even thought about it.
"I can’t even remember [how old he is].. he looks good [for his age]."
