James Corden thinks parenting is "easy" at the moment, because his youngest child is only five weeks old.
The 39-year-old television presenter is father to six-year-old son Max, three-year-old daughter Carey, and newborn daughter Charlotte – all of whom he has with his wife Julia Carey – and has admitted that his life at the moment isn’t too difficult, but knows the peace won’t last forever.
Speaking about his life as a father of three, he told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: "Right now it’s easier, because obviously she’s only five weeks old. She’s a baby. [We] are very aware that it’s about to become zonal marking. ‘You take the kitchen, I’ll take the living room, let’s see who wins.’ You know?"
James and Julia settled on the moniker Charlotte for their newest arrival because they "just really liked it", but the name was bestowed upon the tot after the ‘Late Late Show’ host had joked about naming her Beyoncé.
The star almost landed himself in hot water with the lighthearted joke though, as when he pretended to the medical staff he had given his tiny tot the same moniker as the ‘Halo’ hitmaker, the nurse – who was unaware it was a gag – started to fill out official documents.
James recalled: "After the baby was born, anyone who’s been in this situation will know, we were both crying, I was crying my eyes out, my wife’s crying her eyes out, the baby’s crying and the doctor asked about her name and I don’t know why I said it and I looked at the doctor and said, ‘We’re going to call her Beyoncé.’ My wife did not think that was funny.
"Especially after the nurse went to the other side of the room and started filling out her form with the name Beyoncé and I had to go over to her and say, ‘There’s only one Beyoncé.’"
