Emma Willis thinks Olly Murs is ‘brilliant’ addition to The Voice

Emma Willis thinks Olly Murs is a "brilliant addition" to ‘The Voice’.
The ‘Dear Darlin’ hitmaker has become part of the panel alongside Jennifer Hudson, Will.i.am and Sir Tom Jones on the singing competition following the departure of Gavin Rossdale last year and, although there have been mixed reviews regarding his casting, the show’s host is convinced he’s a perfect choice to mentor the contestants.
Speaking to OK! magazine, she said: "He’s a brilliant addition. He’s very much like Jennifer Hudson in that he knows what it’s like, he’s experience it so he can relate to every single person who steps up on that stage.
"He’s such a nice guy and he is so successful. In a time when it’s really hard to become successful in music if you’re just starting out, he’s someone who is still achieving it, so I think he will have really good knowledge and advice."
The 41-year-old presenter is also thrilled that Will.i.am and Tom have decided to reclaim their red spinning chairs because she believes they make the show.
She explained: "Will is utterly bonkers and totally genius in equal measure, he’s so amazing at what he does and, for me, has made ‘The Voice’ what it is today. I also love Tom, he is just such a gentleman."
And Emma thinks people keep tuning in year after year because the talents is so unpredictable but, at the same time, has such a "warm" feeling about it.
She said: "I love the talent that we get on this show because I don’t think it’s predictable. The show is so warm and it’s something your whole family can watch at the weekend an it celebrates the best of what we can find that year. What’s not to like about it? I love seeing people achieve what they want to achieve."
