Five After Midnight’s Kieran Alleyne has been diagnosed with a heart condition.
The ‘X Factor’ singer – who finished third on the show alongside his band mated last year – has been told he suffers with bradycardia, which causes a slow and irregular heartbeat, after he underwent a series of tests and scans yesterday (29.12.17).
A source told The Sun Online: "He is suffering from migraine attacks, and found that he has an irregular heartbeat and bradycardia – he needs to take it easy for the time being and the hospital will continue to monitor his heart."
People who suffer with bradycardia sufferers can usually lead healthy lives – as long as they listen to their body and have adequate rest – but in more severe cases when not enough blood is pumped to the heart, the condition can lead to heart attacks.
But the source added: "He’s comfortable and being looked after."
Kieran worried fans yesterday afternoon when he said he’d spent the past 14 hours in hospital having scans on his heart but he refused to divulge what was wrong.
He tweeted: "So I spent 14 hours in hospital last night have scans on my heart shattered is not even the word…"
Meanwhile, it’s been a busy year for Kieran as just a few months ago he became a father to a little boy called Jaxon when his ex-girlfriend Sophie Johnson gave birth.
He wrote at the time: "Well damn… I’m a dad" and added a surprised face emoji.
Kieran and Sophie ended their 16-month relationship in March but he vowed that he would still be there for her and their baby.
He shared: "No matter what our relationship status may be, I still consider Sophie to be my best friend. I know she will be the most amazing mother to our son. I’m looking forward to us starting a new chapter together as great friends and committed parents to our baby boy.
"We are both incredibly excited to welcome him into the world together."
