First Prince merchandise released since his death

Prince’s estate has released the first line of official merchandise since the singer’s death in April 2016.
The iconic ‘Purple Rain’ musician tragically passed away last year aged 57, and now the ‘Hit N Run’ pop up online store has been announced, running until Sunday (03.12.17).
The new collection includes a selection of T-shirts themed after albums like ‘1999’, ‘Parade’ and ‘Controversy’, while fans can also pick up hoodies – including a ‘Take Me With U’ zip-up – and a purple love symbol hat.
It comes after a touring exhibition ‘My Name Is Prince’ launched at The O2 arena in London last month, which will be at the venue until January 2018.
It follows similar attractions like ‘David Bowie Is’ and Pink Floyd’s show ‘Their Mortal Remains’, and houses a range of costumes, instruments and artefacts from across Prince’s storied career.
Prince’s impact on the music is still very much prevalent over a year after his death.
Last week, former Oasis rocker Liam Gallagher paid tribute to the pop legend when he performed ‘Live Forever’ during his concert at the First Avenue venue in Minneapolis, Prince’s home city.
Before playing his 1994 hit, Liam, 45, told the crowd: "I reckon you want ‘Live Forever’, yeah? This one’s for Prince, this is his gaff (home) and that so might as well dedicate to him, yeah."
