Charley Webb wants Debbie Dingle’s dirty overalls back

Charley Webb wants Debbie Dingle to start wearing her dirty garage overalls again.
The 28-year-old ‘Emmerdale’ actress’ feisty alter ego has become more "upmarket" in recent months, but she is hoping she’ll get to put her navy blue jumpsuit back on soon because of the "freezing" temperatures in the Yorkshire Dales, and just because she likes Debbie’s casual clothes more than her designer getup.
The blonde beauty told the Daily Star newspaper: "I much prefer dressed-down Debbie. I will be wanting those overalls back now winter is coming – it’s freezing in the village."
Debbie’s swish style is mainly down to her fling with handsome businessman Tom Waterhouse [Ned Porteous], who has been splashing his cash on everything from flash cars to giving out loans to financially-struggling Debbie.
However, in forthcoming episodes Debbie’s mum Charity Dingle [Emma Atkins] – who was held at knife-point after attempting to con Tom out of cash – discovers something alarming about Tom after he got out of having a picture with Debbie and failing to attend the village’s Christmas lights switch on, Metro.co.uk reports.
It looks like Tom’s dark intentions could be about to be exposed after Debbie finally persuades Tom to meet with Charity.
Charley teased earlier this year that she had been thrown in at the deep end with her return storyline after making her comeback to the soap in November.
She said: "I’m going to be full on for the next year at least.
"I can’t really reveal anything, but it’s going to hugely affect the whole Dingle family."
Charley – who has sons Buster, six, and Bowie, 12 months, with fiancé and co-star Matthew Wolfenden – had been on a year’s maternity leave.
The Tom storyline unfolds on November 30’s episode which kicks off on ITV from 7pm.
