Joe McFadden may quit Holby City

Joe McFadden has hinted he may quit ‘Holby City’ next year.
The 42-year-old actor – who plays dedicated doctor Raf di Lucca – is currently taking part in the on-going series of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ and has admitted he’s enjoying his time on the ballroom and latin show so much that he’s toying with the idea of walking away from the medical drama and tipping his toe in musical world again.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, he said: "’Strictly Come Dancing’ has given me the hunger to do live entertainment again, perhaps a little play or a musical. It’s sort of given me a hunger for going out into the world and doing other stuff. So perhaps my time might be coming to an end in the near future is all I’m saying. Now I’ve got the dancing feet, it would be a shame to not do a little musical instead or disco dancing."
And it’s not just the routines and performing with his professional partner Katya Jones that he’s enjoying and he’s also developed a love for weekly fake tan sessions.
He added: "I’m doing the fake tans every week — it’s all part of the experience. In fact, I went double dark the other day. It’s like a colour chart where you choose."
However, there are some parts of the dancing show that Joe is still trying to get his head around – the restrictive costumes.
He explained: "Some of the things are quite surprising, like your shirt is attached to your pants which I found quite odd in the beginning.
"And being stitched into things . . .  they always stitch you in just in case buttons pop open — unless they are supposed to be open for things like the Paso Doble."
