Donna Air has reportedly been approached for next year’s ‘Dancing on Ice’.
The 38-year-old TV personality has been having meetings with bosses of the skating show, which is set to return in January, about slipping into some skates and showing off her fancy footwork on the rink but, although ITV have started announcing confirmed celebrities in recent days, it’s not thought the blonde beauty has signed any contracts.
A source told the Mirror Online: "She will be a great signing. Not least as she now brings with her the added glamour of being close to the Royals."
It’s believed Donna flew to top of producers’ wish list after she split from Duchess Catherine’s brother James Middleton last month following four years of dating.
A source said: "They broke up some time ago. They managed to keep it quiet."
But James is hoping he and Donna – who has 14-year-old daughter Freya with her ex Damian Aspinall – will get back together soon because he could see a future with her.
A close pal added at the time: "James hopes the split will not be permanent."
Meanwhile, producers are slowly announcing the line-up for the reboot and, so far, it’s been confirmed that cricketer Monty Panesar, Great British Bake Off’s Candice Brown, rugby hunk Max Evans, Love Island’s Kem Cetinay, Coronation Street’s Brooke Vincent, Bucks Fizz’s Cheryl Baker and Jake Quickenden will take part.
It’s also been announced that acid-tongue choreographer Jason Gardiner, Diversity’s Ashley Banjo, and Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean – who previously mentored the contestants but have now switched roles – will make up the judging panel next year.
Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield will return as the show’s hosts.
