The late Joan Rivers will feature in a spectacular ‘Fashion Police’ finale, when the hit show comes to an end after over 20 years on air.
The programme debuted in 1995 but after the 81-year-old comic’s death in 2014 – which occurred after she suffered a heart attack during a routine medical procedure – it stopped being a regular show, instead airing for a series of specials, and now broadcaster E! have announced they are ending it for good with a one-off episode, ‘Fashion Police: The Farewell’, next month.
The special will include exclusive behind-the-scenes sneak-peeks with the cast and crew, along with unseen footage, including an unaired 80’s themed episode starring Joan, who was famous for her hilarious bitchy comments about celebrities’ fashion choices.
Joan’s daughter Melissa Rivers, who was executive producer of the show and took over as presenter following her mother’s passing, will always be proud of the show.
She said: "Thank you to E! for having the vision to see the potential of Fashion Police which changed both the entertainment and fashion industries.
"I am truly proud to be part of this legacy."
The panel, which has previously included Kelly Osbourne and Kathy Griffin, currently features Giuliana Rancic, Brad Goreski, NeNe Leakes, and Margaret Cho.
E! President Adam Stotsky said: "’Fashion Police’ has been a red carpet mainstay for over two decades that has been emulated across the entertainment landscape. Joan’s beloved no-holds-barred style fuelled the franchise’s clever approach to fashion and comedy, and we are incredibly proud of its long-running success.
"We are also especially grateful to Melissa, as well as Giuliana, Brad, Nene, Margaret and the entire Fashion Police team, who have continued to deliver the laughs and make this iconic franchise truly one of a kind."
