Dance Dance Dance won’t return

Ashley Banjo doesn’t think ‘Dance Dance Dance’ will ever return.
The 28-year-old street dancer was a judge on the ITV competition alongside Tina Landon and Timor Steffens earlier this year but, although it proved a huge success with viewers, he thinks it’s highly unlikely that another series will be commissioned next year.
Asked if ‘Dance Dance Dance’ will make a comeback in 2018, he exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I don’t think so. You never know. We get told a lot of stuff last minute."
But ‘Dance Dance Dance’ won’t be the first show of Ashley’s to get cancelled over the years as he previously judged on ‘Got To Dance’ for three years until 2014.
He said: "I absolutely loved dong that show. All good things must come to an end. But most definitely I would return. It’s something I would love to be part of."
Ashley shot into the limelight in 2009 when his dance troupe Diversity won ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ but, despite his experience, he has admitted he found it "difficult" when he first moved across to judging because he was so used to being on stage.
He explained: "I think it was difficult at first, I think I’m a bit softer. I want to give the people the truth. Honest but fair but it was difficult at first."
Ashley was also given the opportunity to present the game show ‘Can’t Touch This’ last year and, although he loves that style of work, he is riddled with nerves before hosting.
He said: "Funnily enough, I get more nervous before when I dance. But I have done it all my life. I think that actually I do get nervous before presenting."
Meanwhile, Ashley hosts a Disney On Ice’s Fit to Dance programme encouraging children to get active and creative through storytelling and dance.
