Heather Locklear won’t face criminal charges after crashing her Porsche in Los Angeles.
The 55-year-old actress suffered minor injuries after slamming her vehicle into a ditch near her home, but as police have determined that neither drugs or alcohol were a factor in the incident, she will not be charged.
TMZ reports that police have decided to close their investigation and will not be checking Heather’s phone records, to see if she was using it at the time of the incident, or reviewing her speed as no one else was injured in the crash.
Heather took to Instagram on Friday (15.09.17), the day after the smash, to reveal that she was home from hospital.
She wrote: "I’m home and good. Thank you for your concern!"
Heather has previously been involved in a number of road incidents.
She was arrested in September 2008 in connection with suspicion of driving under the influence and being under the influence of a controlled substance while she was behind the wheel in California.
At the time, an eyewitness claimed Heather was "revving her engine loudly, and backed over a pair of sunglasses several times".
And Tom Marshall, a spokesperson for the California Highway Patrol, revealed the actress was considered to be "under the influence of prescription medication" when the incident occurred.
Heather also pleaded no contest to misdemeanour reckless driving in January of 2009.
In light of that incident, the actress – who was previously married to musician Tommy Lee – accepted three years’ probation, $700 in fines and attendance of a drug programme as her punishment.
