5 After Midnight are still in contact with Simon Cowell.
The ‘Up In Here’ hitmaker’s were mentored by Louis Walsh during last year’s ‘The X Factor’, but after coming third in the talent competition the trio were signed to Simon Cowell’s record label Syco and stay in touch with the music mogul "fairly frequently".
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, Nathan Lewis – who makes up one third of the group alongside Jordan Lee and Kieran Alleyne – said: "We are in contact fairly frequently. Obviously he is a very busy man from ‘Britain’s Got Talent’, to ‘The X Factor’, so he’s very busy."
Jordan added: "I feel like Simon’s given us the chance to prove to him we are not somebody he has just signed from the group, we are somebody that are going to make it, and somebody that are going to have longevity rather than a five year band and then it ends."
And the threesome have revealed Simon – who has three-year-old son Eric with his partner Lauren Silverman – Simon not only advises them musically but also gives them "a little bit of dress sense" too.
Nathan continued: "But he’s still very much across the board when it comes to things we are doing, from songs we are recording to a little bit of dress sense here and there, he’s across everything we are working on. He stays in contact."
The group have hailed the 57-year-old businessman for his fashion sense and have praised him for pulling off his signature style of jeans and a t-shirt.
Jordan said: "You think he’s not got the best style, but everybody knows when Simon comes out, Simon comes out with them jeans, Simon comes out with that top, that’s his style, and that’s what he gives to the world. "
And Nathan has admitted he has "never" seen anyone wear a v-neck t-shirt that plunges as low as Simon’s garments.
He added: "I’ve never seen someone with a v cut t-shirt as low as him, but do you know what? Nobody pulls it off like he does either."
