The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were taught how to make pretzel’s during their trip to Germany.
The 35-year-old royals have been familiarising themselves with the culture during their recent royal visit, which has seen them undertake a class in pretzel creating whilst they were in the town of Heidelberg in a bid to perfect the perfect doughy treat.
An image of the couple – who have two-year-old daughter Princess Charlotte and three-year-old son Prince George, who will turn four on Saturday (22.07.17), together – putting their culinary skills to the test has been shared on Kensington Palace’s Instagram account.
The photograph was captioned: "The Duke and Duchess learn to knot a pretzel during their visit to the Market Town of Heidelberg during #RoyalVisitGermany (sic)."
During their trip Prince William took to the water and participated in a boat race along the Neckar River, as Duchess Catherine watched on.
The image read: "The Duchess watches The Duke celebrate after he coaxed the winning boat in a race along the Neckar River in Heidelberg. #RoyalVisitGermany (sic)."
And once the sporting session came to an end the duo were treated to the town’s "finest beer".
A photograph of William and Catherine – who was previously known as Kate Middleton before marrying her spouse – has also been published on the photo-sharing site.
The upload, which captures Catherine and William in the middle of knocking their glasses together to cheers the moment they sampled the beverage, was captioned: "Cheers! After a hectic boat race along the Neckar river, The Duke and Duchess sample some of Heidelberg’s finest beer! (sic)."
