Brooke Vincent is set to take part in the revamped ‘Dancing on Ice’ next year.
The ‘Coronation Street’ star – who is known for portraying garage manager Sophie Webster in the long-running soap – has reportedly been snapped up for the forthcoming rebooted skating show after she impressed bosses with her audition earlier this year.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Brooke has already wowed judges with her skating audition. Bosses feel she’ll be the perfect glam signing."
However, the 25-year-old actress will certainly be given a run for her money as producers are also hoping to sign Steven Gerrard’s wife Alex up to the ITV series.
As well as an impressive line up, organisers would like Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean to sit on the judging panel rather than reclaiming their coaching roles.
A source said recently: "Torvill and Dean loved their years spent teaching celebrities how to skate but they want to change things up for the new series. Now they are in talks to become judges, where they will finally get to have a proper say on what they think about the celebrities taking part.
"In the original format they were there to help them along the way, but this will mean they can use their gold medal winning expertise to decide who continues in the competition. If anyone is qualified to be a judge, it’s them, and it would be a great way to shake up the format and give it a new lease of life."
Although not much else is known about the reboot, it’s believed bosses are desperate to snap up Jason Gardiner, who was known for his nasty remarks on the panel, again.
Producers are also on the hunt for other professional ice skaters to join the show to work as trainers alongside Christopher’s wife Karen Barber in order to prepare the celebrities for their routines every week.
‘Dancing On Ice’ was pulled off air three years ago but fans jumped for joy earlier this year when it was confirmed it would be making a comeback at the beginning of 2018.
