Jeremy McConnell has been charged with assaulting his girlfriend Stephanie Davis.
The 27-year-old Irish model is set to appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court on Wednesday (10.05.17) to respond to allegations he attacked his on/off girlfriend – with who he has three-month-old son Caben with – and claims he caused "criminal damage" to her home in March this year.
A police spokesperson told The Sun Online: "Merseyside Police can confirm Jeremy, 27 years, of Swords, Ireland has been charged with assault and criminal damage following an incident in Rainhill on 9 March 2017.
"He is due to appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court on Wednesday, 10 May 2017."
This news comes after Jeremy was believed to have been arrested on suspicion of attacking Stephanie on March 16.
The former ‘Hollyoaks’ actress sparked up a romance with the tattooed hunk during last year’s series of ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ and have since endured a turbulent relationship, which has seen them break-up and make-up on numerous occasions.
The couple rekindled their love in recent months after it was confirmed Jeremy is the father of their child, and the pair has remained together following the alleged incident.
But the brunette beauty has admitted she will "always love" Jeremy regardless of the "wrong" he has done.
Speaking previously, the 24-year-old star said: "Jeremy knows he’s done wrong. To do wha the did to the mother of his child, he knows isn’t right
"U can’t help someone who doesn’t want to be helped. I have done all I can regardless what has been thrown in my face
"He had made the choice to block me after saviour paranoia and that’s his choice not mine. To the press, u will always love him
"But u can’t help someone who needs to help them selfs! I will always be there for Jeremy. But he now needs to help himself. (sic)"
