Michelle Holmes joins Hollyoaks

Michelle Holmes has joined the cast of ‘Hollyoaks’.
The former ‘Goodnight Sweetheart’ actress has landed a guest role in the Channel 4 soap as Greta, a mysterious newcomer who will help Scott Drinkwell (Ross Adams) in his quest to find his birth parents.
Scott was left stunned to recently learn he is adopted and now wants to find the family he thinks he truly belongs with and who will be waiting for him to get in touch.
He finds Greta at the house where he’s told his birth mother used to live, but bosses have teased that her information could leave him feeling even more lost than before.
‘Rita, Sue, and Bob Too’ actress Michelle is delighted with her new role and is having a great time working with Ross.
She said: "It’s a pleasure to be working on ‘Hollyoaks’ and with the hugely talented Ross Adams. We are having such a great time and lots of laughs in the quest to find Scott’s Mum."
Michelle will first appear on screens on Tuesday 11th April on E4 at 7pm and Wednesday 12th April on C4 at 6:30pm.
The 50-year-old actress’ casting comes just a few weeks after Adam Rickett was unveiled as the soap’s newest face.
The former ‘Coronation Street’ star will make his on-screen debut this week as Kyle, a former boyfriend of Nancy Osbourne (Jessica Fox) who also suffers from Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
Adam said of the role: said: "I am really happy to be joining Hollyoaks. I’ve had a lot of friends work on the show throughout the years and they’ve all told me what an amazing place it is to work so it’s really good to be a part of such a welcoming crowd.
"They key interest for me was in the storylines lined up for Kyle. I think they are amazing, taking the character on a real journey and something I am really enjoying playing a part in. Fingers crossed the audience like the surprises as they keep coming."
