Olly Murs ‘still broken’ after break up

Olly Murs says his heart is "still broken" after splitting from Francesca Thomas over 18 months ago.
The ‘Troublemaker’ singer’s three-year relationship with 27-year-old Francesca came to an end in September 2015, but the star has admitted he’s still struggling to move on from the "tough" break up.
He said: "It’s really tough going through a break up you know, we’ve all been through break ups right? It’s not nice to have a broken heart, mine’s still broken."
The 32-year-old pop star was performing the first of his three-night stint at London’s O2 Arena as part of his ’24 Hours Tour’ when he made the comments on Friday (31.03.17), and said he knew his relationship needed work.
After performing his hit single ‘Grow Up’, Olly added: "Maybe I do need to grow up, I think I do. When I was in my old relationship, my ex relationship, I got told quite a few times I needed to grow up. I’m not perfect, I know I’m not perfect."
And Olly also admitted he’s on the hunt for "Mrs Murs", as he geared up to treat fans to a performance of ‘I Need You Now’, which he claimed he hadn’t played for years as Francesca wasn’t a fan.
He told audiences before playing the track: "Honestly, I am single. This next song that I’m going to sing, is a song I used to sing years ago, but then I got a girlfriend and she didn’t like the song, and now she’s an ex-girlfriend.
"But can I just put it out there that I didn’t dump her just because she didn’t like my song! I’m not that shallow.
"But this next song was written about me trying to find the perfect woman, my Mrs Murs, that’s what I’m trying to find."
Meanwhile, the ‘You Don’t Know Love’ hitmaker recently admitted he is keen to find a "strong" woman to romance and he is perfectly happier if they are older than him.
He said: "I’m a strong person so I’m looking for a strong woman. I wouldn’t rule out going out with an older woman. There shouldn’t be an age limit on dating. It’s all about having a good time and enjoying great chemistry."
