Vanessa White won’t return to The Saturdays.
The 27-year-old singer has put a spanner in the works for the chances of a reunion with the girl group – also comprised of Frankie Bridge, Mollie King, Rochelle Humes and Una Healy – as she has admitted she doesn’t think she has the "space mentally" to go back to band life as she is so focused on her own solo career.
Asked if they will reunite, she told Hunger TV: "I don’t think I could go back. I’ve got so much that I want to do.
"There’s no space mentally for me to go back.
"As time goes on, I know it just wouldn’t feel right for me.
"This feels natural."
And Vanessa is not the only member of the band who has ruled out a return.
Frankie previously said: "I’ve done the same thing for so long.
"I know how fortunate I’ve been to be in two successful bands, but I was getting to the point where I’d be performing and thinking about what I was going to have for lunch.
"I never got to be in musical theatre, so I maybe want to do that at some point. But not so much music – unless I get the bug back. You have to dedicate a lot of time, and at the minute that’s just not what I want to do."
The news will no doubt sadden Una, who said they’d reunite when the "time is right".
The British girl group have been on hiatus since March 2015, but the ‘All Fired Up’ hitmaker hasn’t shut off to the possibility of getting back together, despite three of them launching solo careers.
She previously told BANG Showbiz: "It’s definitely not off the cards. We haven’t made any definite plans but we always said we would come back together when the time is right.
"Right now is not the time for any of us because we are all starting out on our own ventures.
"We all support each other and when the time is right, If our fans want to see us back together again, I for one hope that day comes but I don’t know when that will be."
