Ricky Martin wants to organise playdates for his and Jennifer Lopez’s children.
The ‘Livin’ La Vida Loca’ hitmaker is gearing up for his Las Vegas residency next month and would love for his twins – Matteo and Valentino, both eight – to connect with the ‘On The Floor’ hitmaker’s twins Max and Emme, nine, or Celine Dion’s three kids, as the singers are both enjoying a residency in Vegas right now.
He said: "Yeah, we must [organise something]! Some way, somehow, we need to get together. I’m sure that their kids go through exactly the same emotions my kids go through. It is a pretty unique lifestyle.
"I mean, this is what’s normal for us and we wouldn’t change it for anything, but I think that generation of children that have parents that are entertainers, they need to get together. We’ll see what happens."
And the 45-year-old singer wants to be able to give his children "stability" by being the constant figure in their life.
He added: "Everything changes when you become a father. I’m a different person. Every decision I make is based on their well-being, and yes, they travel with me everywhere. We have a tutor, we home school them – or we tour school, it’s not home schooling anymore – but I need them with me always.
"A lot of people tell me, ‘But Rick, your kids need stability,’ and I’m like, ‘I am their stability. If I’m not around, they won’t feel stable’ and that’s how it goes. In fact, whenever we spend too much time in one city, they go, ‘Dad, what’s next? Let’s go. We’re ready.’"
Meanwhile, Ricky has got a lot to look forward to as he is busy planning his wedding to his fiancé Jwan Yosef.
Asked about wedding plans, he quipped: "We’re going to elope and then let’s see what happens.
"I always dreamt of a three-day wedding. I don’t know what’s going to happen! Let’s see."
And the ‘She Bangs’ hitmaker would love to have more children.
He told Entertainment Tonight: "A lot is happening at the moment. Right now, we’re putting this show together. Maybe when we’re done we will go on the road again, but I definitely want a bigger family."
