Una Foden wants to act

Una Foden wants to diversify her career and try her hand at acting.
The ‘What About Us’ hitmaker – who found fame as part of girl group The Saturdays alongside Frankie Bridge, Rochelle Humes, Mollie King and Vanessa White – is keen to step in front of the camera and give acting a go.
She told BANG Showbiz: "I’d love to try [acting] some time, but I don’t know how to go about it. Maybe a little cameo here or there might be nice, but yeah I do, I’ve often thought that. But it would have to be the right thing, maybe a small part – see how it goes. I’d say film – just like a little part just to see how it goes. TV is such a huge commitment. But a small little part, yeah."
Meanwhile, Una previously admitted she hopes The Saturdays will reunite but she doesn’t see it happening for "a few years" yet.
She said: "I always say when the nostalgia kicks in, that’s when bands reform and I hope one day we will, but it won’t be for a few years.
"I really miss the girls and their company. We’re all doing out own thing, but I’ve got the guys in the band now. But of course I miss the girls."
Despite this, Una – who has Aoife, four, and Tadhg, two, with her husband Ben Foden – loves being a solo artist as it gives her the opportunity to indulge her own specific tastes in music.
She added: "It’s so me, totally. The whole album is about my life … now it’s unleashed to the world. I feel I’ve done a full circle.
"I was embarking on the path of a singer songwriter. Going around pubs and clubs, then I joined the Saturdays and it was a huge change for me. It’s like being given a second chance to go back to the music I like."
